Dear Readers,
🍇 Life in the South of France
September is always a welcome transition for me—I love the cooler temperatures. The second set of tourists arrives in Cannes for the Boat Show, ready to take in the sights without the summer crowds. Traffic along the Croisette can get a bit gnarly for a couple of weeks, but the energy is lively and fun. It’s wonderful to see a new wave of visitors enjoying the city.
My neighborhood is close to another charming village, Le Cannet. The old town is just a 10-minute walk with streets lined with Oleanders. Nestled in the heart of the old town next to the Mairie is the small but engaging Musée Bonnard—what a gift.
En ce moment, Chefs-d’œuvre de la collection Siddarta.
Right now, their visiting exhibit is Un Certain Regard: Masterpieces from the Siddarta Collection.
“Soixante chefs-d’œuvre issus d’une collection particulière présentés pour la première fois, signés par 28 artistes. De grands noms de la peinture et de la sculpture réunis ensemble par ce collectionneur avec un seul fil rouge : « l’âme de l’artiste se reflétant au cœur de ses créations. »”
“Sixty masterpieces from a private collection presented for the first time, signed by 28 artists. Great names in painting and sculpture have been brought together by this collector with a single common thread: the soul of the artist reflected in the heart of his creations.”
Balthus, Bonnard, Camille Claudel, Cézanne, Corot, Degas, Giacometti, Matisse, Morandi, Morisot, Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Seurat, Van Dongen, Vuillard…

Walking through those doors, I find myself completely engulfed in happiness. Did I mention it’s a lovely gift wrapped up in art, activities, and artifacts?
📚 Book News
On the writing front, I continue to work on my craft. I’ve started a creative writing course, and I’m excited to be in the company of other writers like myself—each determined to grow into “great” storytellers.
I’ll be using my latest novel as the foundation for my coursework—a love story set in the South of France. Finally, right!
